Sending love out west

Michele’s Granola is donating $5,000 each to World Central Kitchen and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank in support of their efforts to provide nourishing meals and support to those impacted by the devastating wildfires.

As we received the news of devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, we felt the weight of worry and sadness shared by so many. Our hearts ache for the families fleeing their homes, their schools and communities. At the same time, we are awed by and grateful for the courage of those fighting the fires, risking their lives to protect others.

Through the Give One for Good Food program, our year-round initiative that provides financial contributions to organizations working to improve our food system, we are donating $5,000 to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and another $5,000 to World Central Kitchen, two organizations tirelessly providing meals and essential support to those impacted.

We are also donating several thousand dollars worth of granola to local organizations ensuring evacuees and first responders have access to nourishing meals, including the following:

We hope this serves as a small moment of comfort during unimaginably difficult days.

If you’re looking for ways to help, we encourage you to join us in supporting these and other organizations offering aid to wildfire-affected communities. LA Mutual Aid has posted a fantastic and ever-growing list of organizations looking for support, from food to hygiene supplies, to volunteers and financial contributions.

To all those enduring this crisis, please know that though we may be thousands of miles away, we have you in our hearts. We welcome you to be in touch with other ways we can support!
