Michele’s Granola and Spicewalla Collaborate on Banana Bread Granola
Timonium, MD (December 5, 2024) – Scratch bakery Michele’s Granola and spice maker Spicewalla launch Michele’s Limited Edition Banana Bread Granola, their collaborative nostalgic recipe featuring Spicewalla’s premium cardamom and cinnamon, and Michele’s signature golden, chunky granola clusters.
Michele’s Granola invited Spicewalla to partner on a limited time offering, and the collaboration was well underway when Hurricane Helene devastated Asheville, NC, in September. The storm caused significant flood damage to the facility where Spicewalla roasts, grinds and hand-packs its spices and blends. The disaster forced a month-long closure, but remarkably, no inventory was damaged and Spicewalla fully recovered its operations by mid-November
The resulting collaboration between Spicewalla and Michele’s Granola is a warmly spiced granola that evokes feelings of comfort and home. Every batch of Banana Bread Granola is handmade with natural and organic ingredients and real bananas, not banana “flavor.”
This collaboration also supports Bountiful Cities, an Asheville-based urban agricultural resource focused on local food security: 1% of all sales will be donated to the nonprofit to rebuild and strengthen the community in the wake of Hurricane Helene.
