COVID-19

As a food manufacturing facility, Michele’s Granola is deemed an essential business, and we’re grateful to be able to produce something special to enjoy in these difficult times. Here’s how we’re working to prevent the spread of the virus while also serving our customers and caring for our team:

Our Team & Facilities

Our top concern is the health and safety of our employees. When the Maryland stay-at-home order was issued in April, we closed our kitchen for two weeks, paying employees in full during that time so they could be with their families and practice self-care. As we return to production, we are carefully monitoring the health of our team and offer paid sick leave in the event a team member needs it.

We have enhanced our standard food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices protocols with additional cleaning and social distancing measures. Our staff is following all sanitation and hygiene guidelines from the CDC and OSHA, including wearing face masks. We have implemented extra measures, including working with reduced teams over additional shifts so we can practice social distancing and minimize contact wherever possible.

Shipping Your Order

The combination of the dramatic rise in online orders and the need to slow down production to prioritize safety has resulted in a delay in our typically speedy order processing. While we are accepting and will fill all online orders, we cannot guarantee shipping or delivery dates at this time. Your order will receive top priority as our production ramps up. If you have any questions about your order, please contact us at info@michelesgranola.com, or give us a ring: 410-350-0021.

Giving Back

Through our Give One for Good Food® initiative, we donate 1% of all sales of our products (not a percentage of the profits, but a percentage of the sale) to organizations improving access to fresh, nutritious food. In honor of that commitment, we welcome you to email Danielle@michelesgranola.com to share the word about any organizations doing especially good work in this area.

Just like you, we’re adjusting to the new normal of the COVID-19 crisis. We thank you for your patience and for supporting our small business. Please be in touch with general questions info@michelesgranola.com or 410-350-0021.
