Starting your day with a protein-packed breakfast doesn’t require scoop after scoop of chalky protein powder in your smoothie or settling for bland, highly processed cereal. There's a better way!

We took a stroll through Sprouts (where our granola is ON SALE through February 25!), to shop for a couple of high-protein breakfasts that rely on naturally protein-rich real, whole food ingredients (think seeds, nuts and whole grains). And of course, these simple meals are made all the more delicious with the fresh flavors of chunky handmade Michele’s Granola:

Chocolate Almond Yogurt Bowl 

Makes 1 breakfast bowl | Protein: ~30g 

Ingredients

1 cup Sprouts Plain Low-Fat Greek Yogurt 12g protein

1/4 cup Michele’s Cocoa Chocolate Chip Granola 3g protein

1/4 cup sliced almonds 6g protein

1 tbsp pumpkin seeds 2.5g protein

1 banana, sliced 1g protein

1/2 cup mixed berries .5g protein

1 tbsp sunflower seed butter 4g protein

Optional: Drizzle of maple or date syrup for added sweetness

Directions

Scoop your yogurt into a cereal bowl and add all the toppings--no oven, stove top or even a microwave required! Enjoy immediately.

 

Granola and Sunflower Butter Power Pitas

Makes 1 serving | Protein: ~30g 

Ingredients

2 Sprouts Flax and Oat Bran Mini Pita Bread loaves 10g protein

2 tbsp unsweetened sunflower seed butter 8g protein

2 tbsp hemp seeds 6g protein

1/4 cup Michele's Original Granola 3g protein

1 tbsp pumpkin seeds 2.5g protein

1 banana, sliced 1g protein

Optional: Drizzle of maple or date syrup for added sweetness

Directions

  1. Toast the bread to your desired level of crispiness.
  2. Spread the sunflower butter evenly over both slices.
  3. Add your toppings: Sprinkle hemp seeds first, then top with Michele’s Granola and pumpkin seeds. Finish with a topping of banana slices.
  4. Optional: Drizzle with a touch of maple or date syrup for extra indulgence. Enjoy immediately.
